Q. Are you guys for real?
A. Yes, we are for real. We will drive you AND your car home for FREE! We do encourage tips for our drivers, that helps them pay for gas and earn a few honest dollars.

Q. Why do you do it for free?
A. We want to take away reasons that make people decide to drive when they have been drinking. Paying money for a service to get them AND their car home would be expensive. Cab fare is also expensive, especially when you have to take a cab to get your car in the morning. If you eliminate the cost of a cab, the hassle of getting your car the next day, and the worry of leaving your car unattended, people would be more likely to make the right decision.

Q. How can you do it for free?
A. We are counting on the community to support us. The money we receive from our sponsors will be used to pay employees and operating expenses. The more sponsors we receive, the more people we can employ, and the bigger our service can grow.

Q. How much should I tip the drivers?
A. We really cannot say. You give what you want, what you feel is fair for the distance they drove you and the time they spent. What we can say is their average tip is $20. If they are taking you a long distance from where they picked you up from, please consider tipping more than the average for their time and fuel. The tips get split between the two drivers and they use their tips to pay for their fuel. Remember, they are not bringing you a burger or delivering a pizza, they are driving you home safely AND your vehicle is parked at your house when you wake up. Don’t you think that’s worth at least $20? What would a cab cost you from Downtown to Stetson Hills or Ft. Carson? What would a DUI cost you?

Q. Is my sponsorship tax deductible?
A. Yes. We are a Non-Profit so your business can deduct your sponsorship as a charitable donation OR an advertising expense. Not only do you help save lives and careers, you get great advertising AND you get to write it off at the end of the year.

Q. My business can’t do a sponsorship, how else can I help?
A. There are many ways you can help. We need volunteers to drive people home. We need hats and jackets with our logos embroidered and/or screened. We need to show our volunteers our appreciation. We need printer paper. We need postage stamps. We need media exposure. We need tires. Eventually we will need vehicles. There are many things we can use, what do you have? We’ll even put an ad on our website in exchange for your goods or services.

Q. Do I have to be at one of your participating establishments to get a ride?
A. Yes, you have to be at one of our participating locations to get a ride. Our sponsors are paying for the service to be available to their customers. If you purchase a personal sponsorship, we will pick you up anywhere.

Q. Will you drive someone home if they do NOT have a car?
A. Unfortunately we can not give rides to someone if they do not have a car. We are not licensed as a taxi, so legally we cannot give rides to people in our vehicles. Out of professional courtesy to our local taxi company, we will not engage in transporting people. Our objective is to eliminate alcohol related traffic incidents, and people without cars don’t create any kind of traffic incidents.

Q. I have a car, but I also have passengers. Will you take them home too?
A. It would be helpful to us and all our customers if we only made one stop. This way our drivers would be available sooner, and other customers don’t have to wait as long for their ride. However, we will make multiple stops to drop off passengers. We would like to encourage larger tips for the drivers when they make multiple stops, especially if they are far apart.

Q. What if someone is too drunk to function, will you take them home?
A. People need to be coherent enough to give us their address and stay awake until they get home. If they are not coherent, we will not take them home unless they have someone that IS coherent with them, and that someone will assume responsibility for them. They would need to get their friend in and out of the vehicle as well as inside their destination.

Q. What if I have my child/children with me?
A. All people in the vehicle need to be at least 18 years old. Our drivers cannot be responsible for children should the parent/parents happen to pass out during the ride. If you have someone under the age of 18 in the vehicle, we will be unable to provide service.

Q. Does my car have to be insured and registered?
A. Yes, your car has to have current registration AND proof of insurance before we can drive it. If it does not have current registration or insurance, you need to call a taxi or a friend. Colorado state law prohibits anyone from driving a vehicle without current registration and insurance. We can’t break the law to perform our service.

Q. Will you take me and my car TO the bar?
A. No. We are not a service to help you “party”, that would be a taxi or a limo. Our service protects our community by preventing the disastrous effects of drinking and driving. We do not enable people to go out and drink, we enable people to make the right decision when they do.
